CUT ROSE COMPETITION – Saturday 09 November 2024, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Do you fancy yourself as a bit of a green thumb or, do you have a rose bush at home that is currently blooming?

Why not enter your blooms into our Latrobe City Cut Rose Competition.

Open to all festival visitors, this is a friendly, non-competitive event for everyone to enjoy the amazing roses that bloom outside the Morwell Centenary Rose Garden, especially the ones grown with love at your home.

Whether it’s a rose grown in a pot, a shrub, climber, miniature or standard variety, you don’t even need to know the roses name.

Simply cut a single stem from the blooming flower (one rose per category), place in a glass jar and deliver to the Cut Rose Competition Marquee at the Morwell Centenary Rose Garden –

Entry is free and open to all ages.

Categories are:

  1. Latrobe City Roses (Open to Latrobe City Residents)
  2. Best Perfumed Rose
  3. Best Full Bloom Rose (1 stem fully open bloom)
  4. Best Bunch of Roses (4-6 stems or cuts of any one type)
  5. Costa’s Choice

Judging will take place at 2.30 pm Saturday.
